Here's a color diagram for a Cat-5 RJ-45 connector.

For a crossover cable, swap your transmit and receive pairs.
( You will need a crimp
tool to make the ends.)

Here's a color diagram for a Cat-5 jack. It also works for BIX blocks.

(Note: if you have oriented
your BIX block so that
your RJ-45 jack is above
the punch-down strip,
then pin 1 is on the right.)
